"The Sammo Hung Action Collection" Interview:
'I
liked to work for King Hu and he liked me too. That time I was really
young and could do everything. I was his action choraographer and I
doubled a lot of people for him. He wanted me to do doubles. I always
wondered, because my body is too big, and some actors were very thin, I
said: "How can I double him?" and he said "Doesn't matter, you do it!"
I was like his student, I listened to him on everything.'

'For
me it was very easy because we have known each other for a long time.
Our movies were quite similar, same tone, comedy and action. We loved
to talk about making a film together. He would be the director and I
chose the hero Lam Sai-wing. We liked the idea and worked on the story.
We would discuss how to shoot each scene, hot to choreograph the
fights, what he wanted to do. I liked working with him, because it was
easy.
Nothing is special now. But back then everything was special. We tried
to do something new for the audience. Whether it is good or not, that's
another thing'.
